FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Whether you’ve attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. You’re not quite sure what to expect. You probably have a lot of questions. Here’s some information that should help:
What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. We are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than on what you’re wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.
How do I get to Mt. Pleasant?
We look forward to meeting you! Our address is 6516 Old Greensboro Rd., Thomasville, NC 27360.
Where should I park?
You may park in any available spot, but we have several visitor parking spots right up front. During our busier times, there is extra parking in our gravel lot or across the street as well. The main entrance to the building can be found at the front level of the building. Any of our greeters or members will be more than happy to show you around, and you can check out this map to get a better feel for where to go once you arrive.
Where do my children go?
MTP Kids is the perfect place for your children, infant through fifth grade, to go while you attend a service. IF you would like your children to go to MTP Kids, visit the Children’s Welcome Center in the downstairs lobby in the children’s wing. At the MTP Kids table, you will check in your children and will receive a name tag to place on your child’s shirt. Stop by the table again after the service to check out your child before picking up him/her.
For older kids, check out our MTP Youth program.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, the only thing we ask of you is to fill out a connection card and place that in the offering basket of plate. If you consider Mt. Pleasant your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to Mt. Pleasant.
What is a Mt. Pleasant service like?
We aim to teach the Bible in a way that is engaging, understandable, and applicable. Each of our services is a little different in worship style, but offers the same message. Learn more about each of our Services listen to past sermons online.
