Dear Pastor Chris, Mt. Pleasant Families, and Dear Children,
I hope this letter finds each of you well and surrounded by God’s grace. As many of you know, our family, along with Daniel and April Rich, are on the brink of fulfilling a dream by opening Timber Creek Trading Co. in Midway. After much prayer and reflection, we’ve come to the decision that I will be taking on the responsibility of managing the store. This is a step that is both exciting and bittersweet, as it means I will be stepping down from my role as Director of Children’s Ministry at Mt. Pleasant Church—a role that has been close to my heart for over six wonderful years.
The decision to leave this position was not an easy one, but I truly believe God is leading me to support my husband Joey in this dream we’ve nurtured for so long. Being there for him and helping our family grow this small business is something I feel deeply called to do. But please know that this isn’t goodbye. My love for the families and children at Mt. Pleasant runs deep, and this church will always be our home, the place where our hearts belong.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you—the parents, families, friends, and of course, the incredible kids who have filled my days with so much joy and purpose. Your love, support, and trust have meant more to me than words can express. I will forever cherish the moments we’ve shared, the lessons we’ve learned together, and the ways we’ve seen God’s love in action through this ministry.
As we look ahead, Pastor Chris, the elders, deacons, Admin Board, and I are committed to finding someone who will continue to lead and nurture our Children’s Ministry with the same love and care that has been shown in the past. We are working together to ensure that this transition is as smooth and positive as possible, and that the next Director will be someone who is passionate about loving and guiding our children.
To all the parents who have entrusted your precious little ones to Kids Klub over the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your partnership in nurturing their spiritual growth has been such a blessing. I pray that you will extend the same warmth and support to our next Children’s Director, just as you have so generously given to me.
To all the children who have passed through Kids Klub or are a part of it now—know that Mrs. Jennifer loves you so very much. You are each so special, and God has amazing plans for you. I feel incredibly honored to have been a small part of your journey, and I’ll always be here for you, ready with a big hug whenever you need one. Though I am stepping away from my role, I am not stepping away from you. My family will still be here at Mt. Pleasant, and I am always just a prayer or a conversation away.
To the incredible volunteers who have poured their hearts into this ministry alongside me, thank you. I could not have done any of this without your unwavering support and dedication. You have been the hands and feet of Christ, and I am so grateful for each of you. Please continue to show the same love and encouragement to our next Children’s Director, as they will need your partnership just as much as I have.
The kids and this church mean the world to me, and I am committed to ensuring that our Children’s Ministry continues to flourish. During this transition, I will remain in my role part time until we find the right person to step in and carry this ministry forward. Together, we can make this a smooth and welcoming process for the new hire, and I am confident that God has great things in store for us all.
Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for the kindness, love, and support you have shown me over the years. I am excited to see what God has planned for our church in the days to come. We are so blessed to be part of such a loving and faithful community. Please keep our church and this transition in your prayers as we seek to find the person who will continue to lead our children in God’s love.
God bless you all. I love you dearly, now and always.
With love and gratitude,
Jennifer Driggers
Director of Children’s Ministry
Dear Mt. Pleasant Church Family,
Over the past 6 years, we have been incredibly blessed by the love, commitment and dedication of Mrs. Jennifer Driggers as our Director of Children’s Ministries. She has poured her heart and soul into the children’s program at Mt. Pleasant and has loved on our children like they were her own, living out our mission to boldly share the unfailing love of Jesus. Because of this and the Holy Spirit working through Mrs. Jennifer, our children’s ministry has flourished. However, as with all facets of life, seasons come and go.
Recently, Jennifer and her family have been presented with a business opportunity that is going to require that same commitment and dedication that she has shown to the church and she has felt lead to play an integral role in this family venture.
Over the course of the next few months, Mt. Pleasant will be prayerfully searching for someone to become our next Director of Children’s Ministry. In the meantime, Jennifer has graciously offered to stay on part time to continue to serve the church during this transition period. We are excited to see where this opportunity will lead them and we pray that the Lord has unimaginable plans for Mrs. Jennifer and her family in this next chapter of her life. Jennifer, Joey and the rest of the family will continue to faithfully attend and serve the church as they have since they became a part of Mt. Pleasant.
As a congregation, be in prayer that God will send just the right person that will share the unfailing love of Jesus to our children and will continue to lead them into a relationship with Him.
