21 May The Shepherd’s Staff – April 2024

Greetings Mt. Pleasant Church from your Elder team. He is risen! He is risen indeed! I pray that the celebrations of the Easter season serve as a reminder and a time of reflection of the love and sacrifice that Christ poured out for ALL of us on the cross. Also, what great hope was provided that as followers of our risen Savior, we don’t have to worry about the struggles of this world; that one day we will spend our days worshipping and praising Jesus for all of eternity! MTP is excited to be hosting the presentation of Abraham Thomas this month. Abraham is a missionary from India, whom the church has been supporting for the past 15 years. Everyone is encouraged to offer your prayers and support of Mr. Thomas and come listen as he shares the story of his ministries overseas. This month, we will also be hosting one of our “Lunch With the Pastors” meals. This is a great opportunity for new folks to learn a little more about MTP and hopefully be of encouragement to take the next steps to becoming part of our church family. To go along with taking the next step. Celebration Sunday is taking place this month as well. It’s always an exciting time meeting new members of our church and also to celebrate with new followers of Christ as they boldly profess their faith through the ceremony of baptism.
