23 Sep The Shepherd’s Staff – October 2022
The elders are fully immersed in annual reviews for our staff. The prayers for our staff and the elders are greatly appreciated as we discuss accomplishments, struggles, and goals for 2023.
As a church body, we are entering into our nomination period for administrative council and elder. These nominations are very important to the life of the church. Our administrative council functions as the board of directors and manage the business and worldly affairs of the church in order to help carry out the purpose of the church. The elders serve as the spiritual leaders of the church, which includes managing and directing the spiritual affairs, spiritual growth, and spiritual direction of our church and staff. Please prayerfully consider spiritually gifted members of our congregation for these positions.
These responsibilities are important to your elders. Throughout this year, we have continued to preview resource material for small groups and seek to find new ways for our congregation to grow spiritually. We are excited about the five studies that are being offered for Family Night and feel like all of these create solid foundations for spiritual growth.
As we plan enter the fourth quarter, we are planning an elder retreat to take place in November. Our goal is to spend time in prayer, establish plans for spiritual development, explore opportunities for growth, and evaluate the overall spiritual well-being of our church. Please be in prayer that we honor God’s will with intention and purpose.
