30 Aug The Shepherd’s Staff – September 2024

Greetings Mt. Pleasant Church from your elder team. It’s hard to believe we’re already thinking about the fall season. School is back in session and our own homeschool co-op, “The Point”, is in full swing as well. We pray for our students and our teachers alike; that they would have a safe and successful year and that they would be a bold witness for the Kingdom of God in all of their interactions with their peers.

Beginning this month at Mt. Pleasant, if you haven’t already heard the exciting news, we will be starting a new service at 11 AM in the FLC. September 8th will be the kickoff for this service and we will be celebrating that with “Bring A Friend” Sunday. Our prayer is that this will allow us to continue to provide an inviting worship opportunity for those in our community that are seeking a church family so they too can share in the excitement of Jesus.

Another bit of exciting news is for the past several months, the Elder team have been putting together a Bible study that will be offered this fall as a group study during family night. It will cover 1st & 2nd Peter. We pray that this study will be a blessing to all and that we can grow closer to God as a church family through the reading of His word.

As always, be in continuous prayer for the leadership of Mt. Pleasant; prayers for obedience, prayers for wisdom, prayers for guidance, prayers for focus, prayers for compassion, prayers for boldness, prayers for encouragement.
